The James A. Haley Veterans’ Hospital, Tampa, FL is seeking a full-time, 40 hours per week Advance Registered Nurse Practitioner (Cardiothoracic) to join our team providing Cardiac Care to veteran patients. As an agent of the supervising physicians, the Nurse Practitioner is authorized to write medical orders on inpatients and/or outpatients assigned to the facility for care. Typical duties include but are not limited to: performing initial history and physical examinations on inpatient and outpatients, assist in operating room, be proficient in harvesting saphenous vein endoscopically and performing minor procedures, prescribe medications within defined functions, order diagnostic studies (e.g. x-rays, lab tests, ECG), regular rounds to observe and record each patient'
