Overview

St. Luke's Health System in Boise, ID is seeking a Systems Analyst 4 to join our Integrated Health Technology Ambulatory application team.

Unit/Position Summary:Reporting to the team's senior manager, this position maintains responsibility for approximately two-hundred, 3rd-party applications that routinely interface with St. Luke's electronic medical record system, Epic.

Successful candidates must possess proven technical skills in application and server configuration as well as experience working with databases and interfaces. If not already Epic proficient or certified, candidates must be willing to obtain Epic certification during the course of their work as occasional Epic programming will be required. Lastly, applicants should also have previously led technical application teams with a proven track record of driving results to achieve system objectives and goals.

With a high degree of latitude, the Systems Analyst 4 reviews business requirements, analyzes and evaluates existing and/or proposed systems, and designs and develops IT system solutions in response. This role participates in, and leads teams through, work efforts which may include configuration, implementation of and on-going maintenance and support for production application systems with broad impact. Participates in identification and prioritization of work efforts with leaders and/or stakeholders.

• Analyzes and revises existing system logic difficulties and documentation as necessary.
• Prepares detailed program specifications and requirements, identifies required inputs, participates in the design, development, and testing of systems.
• Documents statements of work, project plans, or other forms of project documentation; translates into system specifications.
• Ensures data integration and communication between interrelated systems is functioning correctly and impact of system changes are evaluated.
• Leads technical assignments involving specialists from various disciplines, and has responsibility for the quality, timely delivery and appropriateness of the team's recommendations. Acts as a liaison between the development-team and the end users.
• Considers a broad range of options and applies sound judgement to develop solutions within their specific area of specialty.
• Coaches and leads others in acquiring knowledge and provides expert advice. May serve as an evaluator of staff within the team. Provides leadership, coaching and/or mentoring to a subordinate group; may act as a lead or supervisor.
• Conducts analysis of system infrastructure, set-up and design to ensure business and end user needs are met. Analyzes information and develops infrastructure to support business process design and improvement activities.
• Coordinates installation with end user, tests configuration and recommends modifications to improve functionality, ensuring positive results.
• Evaluates new IT developments and evolving business requirements and recommends appropriate systems alternatives and/or enhancements to current systems.
• Handles the most complex issues and problems.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree or 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
• Experience: 6 years additional relevant experience.
• Licenses/Certifications: Epic proficiency or certification desired but not required.
