The role you’ll contribute:
Work under the direct supervision of a Physician or Mid-Level provider is responsible for administering quality routine nursing care in the clinic to provide quality patient care for those we serve.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
Verifies patient information by interviewing patient; recording medical history; confirming purpose of visit.
Prepares patients for examination by performing preliminary physical tests; taking blood pressure, weight, and temperature; reporting patient history summary.
Saves provider's time by helping with office procedures.
Secures patient information and maintains patient confidence by completing and safeguarding medical records; keeping patient information confidential.
Counsels patients by transmitting physician's orders and questions about procedures, visits.
Schedules consults with specialists and make arrangements for procedures; verifying times with patients; preparing charts, pre-admission and consent forms.
Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock and working with hospital materials management; placing orders; verifying receipt.
Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications.
Serves clinic practice by adhering to professional standards, policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements.
Enhances practice reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Performs pre-authorizations with patient insurance carriers and needed and necessary for procedures
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse Program
Valid State of Wisconsin License or Certificate
No Previous Experience Required
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:
BCLS obtained through the American Heart Association (within 90 days of hire)
