Position Summary: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Faculty Group Practice Office Supervisor - (101483).
In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative oversight of daily operations for 3 FGP practices within Department of Surgery. Oversees Administrative staff, administrative and clinical leads, including recruiting, training, and management. Ensures timely copay/coinsurance collections, proper authorization are obtained, as well as effectively supervising front end staff. In addition, in conjunction with the entire management team, develops policies and procedures, implements new processes (help to establish annual goals, revenue targets, and training/education programs) and monitors compliance to established guidelines
1. Maintain cooperative and professional relationships with physicians, administrative and clinical staff
2.Oversees the training of office personnel for all roles within the division. Assists in hands on training when appropriate and necessary.
3.Works with team leads/supervisors to make weekly schedules for all staff
4.Recognizes routine problems and discusses solutions with other leads/management team members. Primary manager to resolve employee issues and addresses procedure and performance related issues.
5.Resolves all complaints and problems using independent judgment and decision making skills, to ensure patient satisfaction and adherence to faculty practice standards.
6.Ensures all patient issues/complaints are successfully addressed.
7.Authorizes attendance, schedules and sick time changes.
8.Adjusts the physicians templates as needed. All changes are discussed with the Division Administrator prior to implementation. Ensures a strong percentage of template utilization.
9.Assists physicians with EPIC related inquiries (i.e. smartphrases, templates for notes, etc)
10.Compiles daily statistical data as requested and reports data monthly to appropriate parties.
11.Meets routinely with staff and has open communication with both staff and physicians.
12.Responsible for employee performance reviews.
13.Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: To qualify you must have a Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 1-3 years of relevant work experience or equivalent combination or training and relevant work experience. Knowledge of physician billing and coding; CPC preferred. Ability to work in a fast paced multi-physician practice environment. Good communication, interpersonal and computer skills. Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with physicians, staff and patients
Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge in computer-based scheduling and appointment programs. Excellent telephone, communication skills and conflict management skills.
