We are looking for a Registered Nurse Sr. that focuses on bringing understanding and peace to patients and their families during what may seem like a confusing and challenging time.
This is a float position and requires travel between practice locations.

Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate and promote the continuity of care consistent with established standards and practices.
Assess health status by interviewing patients regarding their status and medical history.
Collect and record nursing assessment and interventions.
Review and report result of the health status assessment and physical examination, pertinent laboratory data, radiographic data, and psychosocial assessment of assigned patients to the provider.
Assess patient/family needs and provide teaching and other instructional
Provide psychosocial support to patients and families.
Maintain patient confidentiality.
Prepare and administer therapies under the direction and supervision of a physician.
Administer all medications/blood products using correct medication/blood product, dosage/amount, route, time, and technique.
Ensure pre-authorization and appropriate consent forms are obtained prior to administration of therapies where
Facilitate dose modification by assessing patient, assessing labs, consulting protocol or treatment plan, calculating dose, and consulting physician regarding dosage modifications, problems, and symptom management.
Perform venipuncture, accesses implanted ports and maintains central lines catheter devices.
Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of assigned patient care and treatments provided.
Apply knowledge of reimbursement procedures and charge capture.
Restock the supply area as needed.
Follow OSHA guidelines when handling cytotoxic agents, biohazardous waste and any other material potentially infected with a blood borne pathogen.
Maintain all disinfection protocols.
Manage and maintain equipment according to quality control standards.
Facilitate clinical operations and patient care.
Manage patient medication refill requests from the pharmacy telephone line and records the information in the patient chart.
Assist physician with exams and
Maintain efficient and appropriate patient flow in and out of exam rooms.
Facilitate and schedules consultations, pre-testing, diagnostic tests or procedures, referrals, and future appointments for patients.
Triage patient phone calls as needed and documents relevant information in the patient's chart.
As necessary, facilitate communication between patient/family and interdisciplinary team and coordinate services related to patient care.
Assist patients in locating available community resources.
Partner with multi-disciplinary team demonstrating professional collaboration.
Partner and collaborate with clinical research.
Act as a resource to LPN/LVNs and medical assistants.
Provide nursing coverage for the satellite offices as needed.
Serve as mentor/preceptor and provides day to day guidance to less experienced nurses
Participate in professional development activities and maintain current knowledge of oncology nursing by participating in ongoing educational opportunities.
Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications:
Graduate from an accredited program for professional nursing education.
RN state license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Must maintain continuing education requirements.
Five (5) years of nursing experience.
What You Bring to the Team:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Experience and knowledge of the purpose and use of medications in the treatment of cancer is preferred.
Demonstrate awareness of community resources available to patients and assist with referrals if necessary.
Maintain current knowledge of oncology nursing by participating in ongoing educational opportunities.
One (1) year of nursing experience in oncology preferred.
Oncology certification preferred.
