Overview
Atlantic Health System is seeking a per-diem MRI Technologist for the Radiology Department at Overlook Medical Center-Union Campus to work a varied schedule, including weekends as required by department.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
- Promote a culture of healing, while accurately interpreting and performing all MRI imaging protocols.
- The candidate will practice in accordance with state, federal and professional standards.
- Will abide by strict MR Safety standards and evaluate MR scans for technical quality. EPIC and PACS will be used to manage patient workflow and transmit images for interpretation.
- Must be competent with IV skills and preparing/administering contrast media.
Qualifications
Minimum Education:
- Completion of a 24-month AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology
Minimum Experience:
- 2 years full time experience
- Hospital experience is preferred but not required Epic Experience is preferred but not required
Licenses/Certifications:
- Licensed by the State of New Jersey in Diagnostic Radiology
- Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist in Radiography and MRI
- BLS/CPR certification
- IV Certification preferred
Qualifications:
- Must demonstrate knowledge of MR imaging equipment; including set-up, utilization, basic troubleshooting and proper care for all equipment.
