Health care has changed a lot since MultiCare opened its first hospital more than a century ago. And today, things are changing faster than ever. But one thing has never changed - the impact a great nurse can have on a patient's health care journey.
The Interventional Radiology nurse is responsible for patient care throughout minimally invasive, image-guided procedures. Interventional radiology is one of the fastest-growing nursing specialties. Commonly used imaging technologies include fluoroscopy (x-ray), computed tomography (CT), and sonograph (Ultrasound). The primary responsibility of the IR RN is that of sedation and monitoring throughout the procedure. IR at Tacoma General is a dynamic team based unit, working side by side with Interventional Radiologists, Physician Assistants and Interventional Radiology Technologists. Tacoma General is a DNV certified Comprehensive Stroke Center. In addition to body IR, this team also works with the Neuro Interventional Radiologist to provide acute care for stoke and aneurysm patients. Come utilize your critical care skills in a team setting where the work you do truly makes a difference! But most of all, we'll rely on you to reflect our core values of Respect, Integrity, Stewardship, Excellence, Collaboration and Kindness as you interact with the patients who are trusting you with their care.
We'll give you options. With eight hospitals and over 18,000 team members, MultiCare is now the largest community-based, not-for-profit, locally governed health system in the State of Washington. This means you'll have plenty of choices as you look for the specialty and schedule that works for you.
