To assess and evaluate patients scheduled for surgery. To coordinate pre-surgical testing and provide patient education. Responsibilities: Initiates the process of assessment and screening for anesthesia purposes. Initiates the teaching plan for the patient and family. Selects appropriate preoperative tests.
