Schedule: 8:00am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday. (May work past 4:30pm until the last patient checks out and leaves.) No weekends or holidays.

Overview:
This position supports a multi-specialty office that helps to serve different providers from different lines of service. Supports adult and pediatric patients.

This role facilitates patient flow from the point of entry to their destination in a timely, accurate, and professional manner. The representative is responsible for obtaining essential financial and demographic information to create accurate patient records that support optimal reimbursement and clinical outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Schedule appointments and interview patients to gather appropriate medical information.

• Explain departmental and hospital charges and policies.

• Validate and enter charges into appropriate systems.

• Collect necessary payments.

• Answer incoming calls and direct patients and visitors appropriately.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required.

• Prior experience in a healthcare setting preferred.

• Ability to learn and retain medical coding (ICD-10 and CPT coding preferred).

• Ability to interpret insurance information; knowledge of clinical practices and medical terminology preferred.

• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
