Job Description:

Location: Orlando Campus 601 E. Rollins St., Orlando, 32803

Shift/Schedule: Nights, 3/12 hour shifts 6:45pm-7:15am

Communicates courteously with internal and external customers in person or on the telephone.

Demonstrates respect for co-workers and develops positive working relationships with other departments.

Respond immediately to clinical deterioration or emergency calls.

Provide real-time education on early warning signs, interventions, and documentation. Support and coach bedside nurses during and after rapid response events. Accurately document all assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes. Collaborates and demonstrates teamwork in managing patient flow, promoting timely patient placement by following hospital policy for admission, discharge, and transfer. Participates in peer interviewing and peer review processes. Considers factors related to safety, effectiveness, cost, and impact on practice in the delivery of nursing services.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Skills required for work in critical care area

• Computer skills with a proficiency in Microsoft Office

• Electronic EMR documentation

• Effective communication

• Critical thinking skills

• Knowledge of EPIC EMR

• EKG application and identification



Education:

• Associate's of Nursing [Required]

• Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]



Field of Study:

• N/A



Work Experience:

• 3+ years of experience as a critical care registered nurse [Required]

• Experience in a specialty area(s) [Required]
