In compliance with applicable New York and New Jersey State regulatory authorities, COVID-19 vaccination (2 doses of either the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine or one dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine) is mandatory for all MSK employees, contingent workers, and volunteers. Exceptions are permitted for those employees who request and receive an approved medical or fully remote exemption.
*Staff working at a MSK New Jersey location must be up to date with COVID-19 vaccination, which includes having completed the primary COVID-19 vaccination series and booster once eligible as mandated by New Jersey State. All New Jersey staff not yet eligible for a booster must receive a booster within 3 weeks of becoming eligible as a condition of continued employment at MSK.
Note: Individuals are eligible to receive a COVID-19 booster five months after receiving the second dose of either the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine or two months after the J&J vaccine.
Job Description
We Are:
We are seeking a Technology Services Specialist I will work with the team to implement and maintain software, hardware, and network connectivity throughout the Koch building. You will provide hands on support on all software applications and hardware; generate system reports; solve computer issues and determine source and advise on appropriate action.
You Will:
- Implementation of software and efficiency tools, setup, diagnostics, repair, and overall usability of the customer computer system.
- Provide technical service and support onsite locations
- Manage installation, repair, maintenance
- Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine accurate solutions
- Respond to staff questions in person, phone, email on all organization supported technology systems.
- Document resolutions and configurations for future reference.
- Immediately report any problems or unusual occurrences to supervisor.
You Have:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in supporting and configuring Windows based hardware, printers, tablets, scanners and mobile phones
- 3+years of experience is supporting and configuring Windows desktop operating systems, office efficiency applications and other software platforms.
- Hands on experience with Cisco Phones and Unifier
- Solid grasp of computer networking, associated hardware and software
- Must be able to work in a team-focused environment to accomplish goals and tasks.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Use a servicing ticket system such as Remedy, or ServiceNow
You Need:
- CompTIA A+ Certification is required
- Certifications in Microsoft and/or MAC O/S a plus
- This position is a 24/7, potential hires will/might need to work overtime on special projects, coverage, storm support etc.
