We are seeking a BSN-prepared nurse with excellent interpersonal skills to use their intuitive communication style in forming positive, collaborative relationships with hospital staff, patients, families and post-acute providers as our new Wound Care Clinical Manager. This role will engage others in two-way dialogue and problem-solving, perform public speaking and leadership of group activities, and use creative/critical thinking to optimize outcomes. This role manages the development, implementation and monitoring of defined departments in partnership with directors, managers, supervisors and related key stakeholders to develop and enhance patient care and is accountable for operationalizing strategic plans, providing direct clinical and administrative management of staff in outpatient Infusion clinics, ensuring accurate and safe treatment.
The best candidate will demonstrate a high level of knowledge and skill in their professional field, alongside an ability to build and maintain employee relations by leading and/or participating in staff meetings, team and visual board huddles, leader/staff 1:1s and rounding. As a leader, they will hold self and others to high standards of accountability and service excellence while they implement and reward innovative approaches to work for self, staff and physicians. The Wound Care Manager develops, monitors and achieves goals for quality and safety, financial objectives, and patient/employee experience as they encourage all staff to challenge themselves to stretch toward progressive outcomes and celebrate success along the way.
This role also, among others:
Manages department supervisor, front line staff and operations, assuring sufficient numbers of competent staff and a shared decision making model that engages staff in achieving organization goals.
Delivers an effective and efficient patient care delivery model and maintains a clinical environment that reflects research and evidence-based practices and incorporates accreditation standards.
Acts as department representative by serving on various committees and meetings throughout the organization.
Serves as a central resource to the Director to develop tools, processes, and systems to optimize department and project outcomes and achieve strategic goals.
Tracks, maintains, and measures, department finances.
Utilizes Lean tools and methodology to meet or exceed organizational goals.
Ensures necessary infrastructure to achieve a continuous state of regulatory and accreditation readiness.
Develops supervisor by providing coaching, mentorship and support.

Background/Expertise:
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required.
Master’s Degree preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of three (3) years supervisory and/or management experience required.
Minimum of five (5) years relevant experience in a hospital setting required.
Leadership experience in wound, ostomy, outpatient clinic preferred.
Licenses/Certification/Registration:
Oregon State Board of Nursing license required.
Current BLS from the AHA certification required.
Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nursing Certification preferred.
Special knowledge, skills, & abilities:
Excellent interpersonal skills and communication style. Able to perform public speaking and leadership of group activities.
