SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Provides assistance with the order entry preparation and distribution of drug products under the supervision of a registered Pharmacist. Maintains appropriate inventory of drug supplies and a system of control to ensure the integrity of the purchases, control of supplies and proper accounting for their distribution.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):Â
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.Â
- Registration as a Pharmacy Technician Trainee by the Pennsylvania State Board of Pharmacy requiredÂ
- Six (6) months of experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy with an educational background in medical terminology and computer use required OR graduate of a formalized Pharmacy Technician Training Program with a minimum of 120 hours in an externship program required.Â
- Ability to obtain Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB, NHA, or equivalent) within six (6) months required.Â
