The Short Stay/Medical Observation unit is located and incorporated with the ED where you will be cross trained. We have a 24-bed observation unit that comprises patient populations including: COPD, CHF, Kidney Disease, Non-healing Wounds, DM, Lap/Chole, Lap Appe, Colectomy, and Wound Management. Our team provides service for inpatient and observation patients, but all include a med/surg level of care. This is a great unit to start in if you have a desire to grow in your nursing skills and development.

Qualifications

• Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
• Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
• Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
• Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
